Netbook Reflection

What I have learnt in 2013 about netbooks is what you can do with your netbook.

I have learnt that on your netbook you don’t share your password or don’t share your address because someone can come to your house and your or someone can go into your account and say something that you did not want to say to them.

Room three this year has been learning on their netbooks learning how to Posting on their Blog. On the netbook you can go on math games and you can go on Maths Whizz and Xtra Maths also. On out netbooks we can make stories and put them on our Class sites when we are finished.

More Spaghetti, I say! Book Review

Characters: Minnie,Freddy	Plot: This story is about a brother and sister. Freddy want’s to play with Minnie but she was eating Spaghetti. Freddy got mad and he threw spaghetti on her face and on the bed and in the air and on Minnie’s chair, also the floor.
Problem: The Problem was Minnie won’t play with Freddy.	Solution: Freddie told Minnie to stop eating Spaghetti and told her to take a break.

Your opinion of the story:

I like from the story when Freddy went from telling her to stop eating spaghetti and then he started to eat spaghetti.

Cultural day

“YAH” It is the 22 November and the seniors were going to each others classes to see what they had learnt about the countries they were studying.

We had Cultural day and we collaborated our cultural day in our senior Mass.

We had kids in the class who went up to the altar to put Flags up there with with Eucharist.  The kids from our class were Vaine, Petra,Faleaka and Rosrine.

Cultural day  is all about different countries and we talked about them and did research about the countries.

In the hall we had a cultural dance, the class and the groups danced together. My class did a cultural dance, our one was a Samba with a boy and a girl. Some people in my class were asking if we were next because they just wanted to go and do the Samba.. .

Each class had to go in order. The first class was

Room 7 the next class was Room 3, then Room 6, their one was awesome.

Room 7 had a very good presentation and I liked Spain the best out of Room 7.  I liked how they presented their presentations not using their netbooks.

Term 4 typing test

In the first Term we did our Typing test this is all my highs in typing test.

Our class has done this for almost a year we love ten fast fingers.

Touch Training

What I am looking forward to is to be participating in the Kiwi Sport the Kiwi Sport we are going to do is Touch Training to meet the coach.

What I am expecting is to have fun with other people and like the coach.

For Kiwi Sport this term we are learning how to play Touch.

I will see a lot of balls hanging around a lot of places like in a bag or some other places around that field.

Touch will be going on for 3 weeks and each day we are going to be learning other Touch skills.

At the end we are going to have a tournament with the whole school with the Touch Training.

The Touch NZ coaches are coming to help us learn for the tournament.

Film Festival 2013

We had a film festival at Sylvia Park in the Hoyts movies.

On November the whole school went to the Film Festival that was on 13 November 2013. This was the Manaiakalani film festival and there was over 3000 children in the Manaiakalani Cluster and there was 2 theatres that all the children had to go too.

The Manaiakalani Film Festival has been going on for 6 years.

The Schools that came to the Manaiakalani film festival were St Pius X Catholic School, St Patricks, Glen Innes Primary, Panmure Bridge, Pt England, Tamaki Primary and Sommerville. There was 10 Schools and 62 movies to watch.

There was a little girl and she was 5 years old and she was so cute and she got up and told everyone what her classes movie was about, that was so cute!!!

When the first class come it was room 3 from St Pius X School. When the Presenters came up the St Pius X School students were all cheering for Patrick and Alicea.

The kinds of songs that were used in the movies were Katy Perry ”Roar”,  “We will rock you”,  Willy wonka chocolate and the song that was made by Rm 7 students called “Friends”. Some of the movies we watched were in slow motion and in fast forward, that was cool how they did that.

Some children were so excited to see the movie, when we got to theatre. Patrick and Alicia were nervous when it was time to go on.

My favorite thing was when Room 6 from St Pius X School did that thing on the stairs, that was so funny and how Mr Slade was doing his act when he said “thats what happens when you don’t listen”.

Someone who Inspires Me?

This is Tiffany and she is 11 years old and she Inspires me because she taught me how to sing and now she is in Kapa Haka.

She goes up north and she goes to perform up north. She comes in town to do performances too.

Tiffany taught me how to sing because when she heard me singing at my Birthday, after my bithtday she taught me how to sing.

The next year I told her something that would make her happy, I told my sister that I was in a kapa haka group and she was so happy for me to make it in a kapa haka group that she taught me some moves before I went to school to go and learn some kapa haka.

“This is David and Elizabeth and there are going to get a warm up there were just in there on their way to warm up”.When there got there but there didn't know what it was but had a go every way there found out what happened and think it was a head for your mounth.

There went home and someone lost their key to the house to Elizabeth called David and ask David have you seen my keys to my house and he “said where was the last place you had them and she said under my seat at the jeum and David said to Elizabeth” then you have to go back and go and get them a just pick me up and we will go there at 9 because we went to jeum at 5 so just pick me up.She said i have to pick you up now OK see you soon.

after she puck up David there went sharat to the jeum and thin she look under the seat and their there were just sitting under the seat and thein she went home unlock the house and thein she said to David Thank you David for helping me get in to my house and I will see you tomorrow in jeum class again and tell me after jeum class if i have my key to my house again place. Today was a big day for me and David and we will g to jeum tomorrow do that thing again and go dsack the next day and next and next.The next day was awesome and some people do forget the keys at some point she can to in some point good she didn’t forget her keys on Monday Good Luck again.

Prompt Practice 4

One mourning/morning there was a girl named Emma and she was going into the forest and there was a monkey named Rayray and he was a wild animal and he was naughty. Emma was so sad for him so she called the Zoo to take the animal to a safe place to hold the animal till when he or she is older and she or he can go out in the wild to all their friends. This monkey was so scared he would not come out of the cage, he had to stay there for about three days and they had to give some food to him.
 
Emma thought again she would take the animal and take him to her place and let the animal live with her for only two weeks and then she had to take the monkey back. The animal thought that Emma place was so cool he would like to come back to her place and see her again some other bay but he said to him that he would come back next week and for 2 week.
 
The monkey was so happy because he looked out side and he sow/saw Emma getting ready to take him to her house and play some games with him. She liked that she would take him and maybe at least she should cemp/keep him for her whole life.

The next year Emma and the monkey's new name Happy Time sile/still hast/hadn't gone back to the Zoo. She still loved Happy Time and she still had Happy Time her whole life.

Prompt Practise 2

At the Beach there went to play in the water there show this cowm on the saed but all i  can see was a lot of undeales on the saed.There was some people just wearing some clothes and just sitting there and just reading some books but at all there had a great time and the beach.After a little time there had some lunch there had something there brote from home there ate had a little time and then went swimming again.

There was something all’s about this when we went there

it was that there was a vou and the was house at the top of the hill and at you could see is homes house and a big gap at the top when you were going down, and the sea on the other side was just the sea it was so pretty when you can see the sea just going back and forward.

The Rosaary

Squash

“Yes I am at School and I can’t wait for Kiwi Sports”.

On Monday 14th October the class were going to the Kiwi sport Squash. We had Squash in the School hall and our teachers were Michael and Phil.

At Kiwi Sport Phil and Michael were having a rally to show us how to play. The No-1. Women’s World Champian is Nicol David from Malaysia and the No-1. Male is Ramy Ashour from Egypt. Did you know that squash was played for 140 years and that squash was also made up in a school called Harrow School and it was only for boys.

In our learning we learnt in junior Squash court. We had to hit the ball around and around the court. One of the children had to do all of the scoring.

We played a game called king of the court. Everyone liked the King of the court. There were

6 courts in the game. Michael and Phil were telling us about what a real court looks like with it being 3 times bigger than the one in the hall. In squash you have to keep your eye on the ball and use co-ordination.

We had groups and we had to team up with some friends if we wanted. It was so cool when we had challenges because we all had fun. We all had fun at squash but we only had 3 days to play. Michael and Phil had fun too.

Duffy Theatre

“Yippy! It’s Monday the 23rd of September 2013 and The Duffy Theatre came to St Pius X Catholic School today.” Everyone was excited after morning tea because we were going to watch the show and it was in our school hall.

All the students sat up in the hall and listened to Duffy and his friends talk about reading books and we experienced acting.

Those people that were in the story was Duffy and Scruffy they were the brothers in the Story. Afi was friends with Duffy that was Duffys only friend in the School.  When Duffy and Scruffy were running around and around their house they could not find them both. Duffy came to us and said have you seen my brother scruffy. There was a battle in Duffy’s bedroom.  Duffy said what are you doing in my bedroom you are not allowed but the evil person battled with Duffy.  Vortrag took all of Duffys ideas and words and the next day it was school and at school it was for everyone to do a things at school.

When Duffy got up in the morning he had some breakfast he had wet dicks for breakfast he had to put sugar in his but he took the wrong he took the solet.And when he was on the bus he did something in the bus like with his breakfast like that.But at the design Miss Lovely came and batod and miss Lovely had won that battle that she was doing just how she wanted to do in her would.

How I felt about the Duffy Theatre well like always like me but this time i was so happy to see that there had a handshake because i said that because handshakes mean friend and brothers there very very close to one and other.

Like ME AND MY WHOLE FAMILY.

Typing Test

Kids 4 Kids

“On a lovely day it was time for the best day in the whole year it was the Kids for Kids concert and it was going to be awesome.

It was Friday the thirteenth and the concert was at the Life Convention Centre, Mangere, it is the best place I have ever been to. It was very cool and awesome, my friends loved it there too.

Some of our families were coming to the kids for kids concert and our families were very proud of all of us. My mum and Nana and brother and sisters (I mean my whole family) was very proud of me that I was on stage

What we were doing there was helping all those people in the world that need food and need some care in their country and those people that are going to die in their country and help those in need.

We all got their by all of our Sisters and our Brothers and all of our family members some of us got picked up from the teachers. It was hot up on the stage it was hot up there because of all the lights were just hot up there we were all told to take off our jumpers  at the back stage. Some of our families and friends were all Laughing and Cheering for all of us some of us were very very happy and some of us were very sad and some of us were scared to go on to the stage.

Did I tell you late when we went back stage some of the children were very very noice at the back stage me and the girls were just playing some games I told you about those children were very noice.

That night we were wearing bright clothes and we were not allowed to wear some high heels last year someone told me late someone wearing some high heels.When we were up on the sage Miss G saw me and we were so happy to see miss G there and to se us to perform on that stage with all of our other friends.

Some of all of the teachers were there with all of us and wish us all good luck on the stage tonight and we will be so so good tonight.There people that came to the Kids 4 Kids those people were Anna-lise,.Faleaka,Joanna,Paul, Seuati ,Rosalina,Tokilupe,     Kanesini Manu those were the people that come to the Kids 4 Kids and that night we all had fun.

When we were up on the stage all of the teachers were all saying hello to all of us when we were going to perform on the Kids 4 Kids on stage.

Kids 4 Kids

On a lovely day it was time for the best day in the whole year, it was Kids for Kids and it was going to be awesome. It was on Friday the thirteenth.

On that night we were all playing and waiting for all the children to come from the 15 different schools that were in the Kids for Kids Concert. Our music teacher was with her school at that time it is called Sancta Maria. Those children in my class that were there were Annalise, Alecia, Ma’ata, Fale’aka , Tokilupe, Kanesini, Rosalina,  Seuati , Paul, Manu, Joanna and Richie.

Filming Reflection

Last week we created a movie for the Film Festival and what we did was make a group and think who was going to be in the movie and we had did that and then you had to film. The movie is about Success.

The Movie was for the children to have some fun and how we did the movie was we have groups and those group have Actors, a Director and Camera Operator. Everyone had a part in the movie to play.

When we finished the movie the Director went to the teacher to edit the movie and put the parts in the right order.

Rugby League Reflection

On Tuesday we were doing League and first at League we had to do star jumps. Some children had to do 5 star jumps and some children had to do 10 star jumps.

After all of those star jumps we were doing some high knees and some strapping and some bear crawls. We were Scoring some tries and we were doing a little jogging and some of the throwing. We also played a game called Simon Says and another game called Octopus.  I learnt some good league skills.

My favourite thing to do this term was my cookie thinking keys because we got to talk about some ways to make our cookies different from other cookies. My other favourite thing as well was Golden time because we could go and learn more maths and play some games. We all love doing art, art is our first love. This term we have been looking at the Holy Spirit.
My least favourite thing in this term was football because we had to run from side to side and it is a little hard. We had to get it in the goal and watch the goalie.

Next term we will be doing Kids for Kids concert, it will be awesome because we get to sing, I love singing. We are doing league for P.E., it is going to be fun because everyone will get to run around the field.

Last week my teacher went to Melbourne in Australia. She went to see 8 schools to look at Modern Learning Environments. One of the school's names was called Broadmeadows.

What I did at school when Miss G was  gone was I did some Maths which was so fun, we got to play on a fun game call'd Cool-maths.

When Miss G was in Melbourne she ate lots of food.

Miss G left on Tuesday at 3:30pm and she come back on Monday 1:30am.

Miss G saw in one class room there was 120 children in one class room and in one high school there were 50 students in one class room.

My koloa's name is Emily, Miss G got some for the class.

Meet Fuzzy the Bear

Meet Fuzzy the Bear
 
Fuzzy the bear is brown and, most of all soft for me. He is so adorable also he is so fluffy Fuzzy is so small and chubby he has a round nose like a button. He has big floppy ears like a rabbit and soft furry feet.

Fuzzy is so handsome and cuddly. He is snuggly and a little fat inside and feels like a warm blanket. Fuzzy is a little playful and he is my favourite bear. Fuzzy makes me feel better when I am sad. His tie makes him look like Michael Jackson.

Fuzzy likes chocolate and my blanket also he likes chasing mice. He likes babies and everyone in my house. He is the best bear in the world. That is fuzzy the bear.
